Ingolstadt, 18.01.2010: Who has passion for electronic consumer goods? Who wants to launch an exciting career at Europe’s electronics retailer Number One? Together with the University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt the Media-Saturn Group offers the study program “International Retail Management”. Students from all over the world come to Germany to study Retail Management, and to become business graduates and - believe it or not - even get paid by Media-Saturn. Another great advantage of the program: They can combine in-depth academic studies with internships in our 16 European countries - the ideal starting point for an international career. As this program has just been launched in autumn 2009 we have started a creative contest for talented students to promote this career opportunity allover Europe.

Ingolstadt, 4.1.2010: Media Markt’s launch into China has been signed and sealed. At the end of last year, the Media-Saturn Group signed a joint venture agreement with a Chinese partner, the Foxconn Technology Group, regarding expansion in China. This agreement has now been confirmed by the supervisory bodies at both Media-Saturn and Foxconn. Responsibility for strategic management and business operations for the joint venture will lie with Media-Saturn. As an experienced local partner, Foxconn, the largest manufacturer of electronics and computer components worldwide, will provide Media-Saturn with support for its market launch.

Ingolstadt, 02.01.2010: Also this year, Saturn traditionally starts into the New Year with an attention-drawing advertising campaign. On January 2, all customers of the electrical goods chain across Germany will receive a € 15 voucher for every € 100 spent.
