What made you choose Media-Saturn?
After completing my first degree in Russia (a teaching degree in French and English) and the subsequent time spent teaching at a comprehensive school, I moved to Germany with my husband. At first I took care of our children and continued to work as a teacher, but then I realized that I’d like to move in a completely different direction and decided to do a Business Mathematics course here in Germany. In order to earn some money during my studies and of course also gain some experience in this area, I often worked as a student trainee - including in the IT department at Media-Saturn. During this time, I worked to a great extent independently on creating the initial designs for a functional IT system map for Media-Saturn. The tasks I was given were so fascinating and challenging that I knew immediately that I’d like to start working at Media-Saturn full-time once I completed my degree.
What exciting projects have you been involved in so far at Media-Saturn?
I’ve been involved in many, many projects! At first I was in Process Management and had the opportunity to work on a number of international projects. I have been working in the newly founded Customer Relationship Management (CRM) department in the New Business division since mid-2010. The core task performed by this department is ensuring consistent customer orientation within the framework of the multi-channel strategy. This includes creating and implementing a coherent CRM strategy, the associated processes, the requisite organization and the IT infrastructure. This involves some very exciting and very diverse projects that allows me to bring all my experience into play.
What do you think everyone should know about Media-Saturn?
I think that a lot of things here are different to how they are at other companies, and you should be prepared for that. What’s most important is that you have the courage to tackle something new and that you’re prepared to put forward ideas of your own and implement them. You are also provided with support for your professional and personal development - for example I’m working on my MBA in parallel to working here and I’m majoring in Customer Relationship Management.
What electronic device drives you crazy?
