What made you choose Media-Saturn?
I got to know Media-Saturn during my studies when I did my internship and my final thesis there. Afterwards, it was obvious to me that I wanted to launch my career at Media-Saturn. And I was lucky that there was a job opening in the Logistics department at that time. My entry into the working world was very easy for me because I was already familiar with the work performed by the department and already knew my colleagues and boss very well.
What exciting projects have you been involved in so far at Media-Saturn?
My most exciting project so far was our launch in Turkey. I helped my colleagues in the Turkish subsidiary implement efficient logistics processes. Although I had only been at the company a short time, I was able to jump right in and I even spent several weeks in Turkey, including time in Istanbul. I was able to experience first-hand just how motivated and dedicated the people at Media-Saturn are.
What do you think everyone should know about Media-Saturn?
At Media-Saturn, it’s important that you persuade others of the merits of your own ideas. Just giving orders doesn’t work here. You have to have persuasive arguments if you want to introduce a new idea, and you have to be able to show your colleagues the advantages of this idea. In my position, for example, it’s very important that I understand the work done by my colleagues in our foreign subsidiaries and what problems they have. Only then can we provide efficient support. And sometimes what you need to do is simply lend a hand in the warehouse.
Which of our products wouldn’t you buy and why?
An electric razor because although I love technology, in this case, I’m a traditionalist and prefer to use a proper razor for a wet shave just like a hundred years ago.
